I’m a Film & TV editor in Los Angeles with 15 years experience. I come from an NYC documentary film background, with facility in a diverse range of formats- from feature docs to reality TV and everything in between. My aim is to bring truth, care, and humanity to every project.

In my teens I worked at a series of video stores where I developed a love of cult and indy film, as well as music documentaries from the Maysles, D.A. Pennebaker, and Penelope Spheeris. After a brief hiatus playing in a punk band, I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & TV production.

I was an assistant editor on Michael Moore's Sicko and worked alongside Grammy & Emmy award-winning director/editor Thom Zimny for Bruce Springsteen's film production company for a few years. With these experiences, I learned the rigorous workflow of a feature documentary film, from first shot to DCP.

As an editor, I've worked with Academy award winner Morgan Neville, celebrated documentarian R.J. Cutler, as well as 3 Emmy-winning seasons of United Shades of America with Kamau Bell. Recent work has been in the premium documentary series space, with Worst Roommate Ever for Netflix, and Watergate: Blueprint for a Scandal for CNN. I’ve also cut comedic series with a social justice angle such as Indefensible with Jena Friedman and The Roots of Comedy with Jesus Trejo.

In addition to my work as an editor, I've been in a band, Black Dice, for 25 years - playing shows, releasing records, and touring the world. This has given me a unique skill set for dealing amicably with conflict in creative situations, maintaining a level head in the face of pressure, and cheerfully working hard to build community.
